Q 1. What’s happening with the RealQuest home page?

The RealQuest home page has been re-designed to support the needs of our growing customer base, including home buyers, sellers, owners, investors, and of course, our current Professional customers.

Q 2. How does the new home page impact current subscription?

It doesn’t. The customer login and RealQuest application remain unchanged. The new home page simply provides new content and a jumping off point for consumers to try our new property search website,. as well as the opportunity for our current pro users to connect with consumers in the near future.

Q 3. Why are we re-branding the “old” RealQuest application to Pro™?

The plan is that www.realquest.com will become a single destination for real estate information and services for anyone, whether a consumer or professional. The name RealQuest will refer to the destination, while each unique application or offering will have its own branding, such as RealQuest Pro or RealQuest Investor™.

Q 4. What’s being offered on the new consumer site?

Consumers can search for an address or area and view detailed information about properties displayed on a map. In addition to estimated value and basic property characteristics, consumers can choose to purchase a property detail report.

Q 5. What about the investor application?

We are in the process of developing a subscription site that focuses initially on foreclosure investors. RealQuest Investor will offer searches and detailed information about properties in various stages of the foreclosure process. More details will follow as we get closer to the release date.

Q 6. Can current Professional customers use the consumer site?

While anyone can search an address or area from the new RealQuest home page and purchase a property detail report, existing customers should know that the site is designed for non-professional users. For example, search options are limited and do not include owner name or APN. In addition, just the single report is available, and certain information has been redacted for privacy reasons. Lastly, the consumer site only enables purchases with a credit card at a fixed price. Therefore, no invoicing or volume discounts are available as they would be on the Pro site.

Q 8. The information you show for my home is wrong, can I change it?

For a variety of possible reasons, the data we receive from the county about a property may be incorrect or incomplete. To make corrections about your home and update the estimated value based on the new information, just click on the Home Facts tab and enter the correct information. The estimated value will automatically update.

Q 9. How do you come up with the estimated value?

The estimated value is generated by a proprietary computer score derived from publicly available property records and certain other data elements.

Q 10. Is your value estimate an appraisal?

No. For a more precise and comprehensive evaluation of the market value of your home, you should contact a real estate agent or engage the services of a licensed professional appraiser.
